Paired with artist Steve Epting, Brubaker's Captain America introduced new villains and resurrected the long dead character Bucky as "The Winter Soldier". The series was a sales and critical success from its first issue. During his run on Captain America, Brubaker wrote issues #25 - 30, the 2007 story in which Steve Rogers was assassinated.These are great comics period!
